on tap at the Judge:

Tapped a lightly hazed pale yellow colored ale in the pint glass....smallish white cap reduced to a surface lace quickly.

Light understated aromas of grains and citrus, toffee, some light mustiness

Light body, minimal malt spine, fluid mouth feel and a thin biscuity charater.

Up front you get a sweet toffee-biscuit decenment then the body goes weak and washes away to a clean finish where the hops show up to add light bittering.

A very thirst busting light summer ale, a tad thin in body but the biscuity malts carry the palate over that detraction...a well made light summer ale that you can down by the pint.

Clear, light orange with a wisp of whitish head off the pour. Balanced, mild aroma with crackery malt and floral/orange hops. The flavour balance favours bitterness and there's a nice grapefruit character throughout. Mild sweetness hits in the middle and is followed by lingering pine in the finish. Light bodied with low carbonation, definitely not watery. Quite refreshing. I'm really glad I have this another try recently. I don't know if it was just a really good batch or what, but this was tasty. A superb summer beer and a great session ale.

Sampled a pint off tap at Volo, seemed the perfect accompanyment to the uncharacteristically hot and humid spring day. Came under a thin layer of head, a sandy yellow in colour. Aroma crisp hoppy. Mouthfeel - perhaps understandably for a 3.5% - a tad heavy on the water. Flavour is there however. My only qualm with this one is that the hops used are very aggresive in style, but used lightly... which doesn't quite seem to work out. It seems it's suppose to be a very lightly hoped beer - but with these extremely aggresive hops (while weakened in their use) are still aggresive to the palatte and flavour, which contradicts the beer. Overall however, I enjoyed it just fine.

Poured a clear pale yellow, tight creamy head and lace. The smell was kind of sweet, lagery, faint fruity hops. The taste was kind of weird, pissy lager, faint hops, a little fruity, basically not much taste, but a dry finish. The mouthfeel was very watery, but crisp, a light mouthfeel but refreshing, however not what I would have expected from Scotch-Irish.

Fine bubbled very creamy head. Light in color. Not a nitro pour, but it naturally has some of that character.

Big snappy hop presence compliments the agressive popping of the fine bubble carbonation. Unlike what one would have a right to expect from a light colored, light in alcohol Canadian ale. This one has an agressive attack which corresponds, in my thinking, to what an American craft brew lover would want. This would even score great marks against all English pale styles (the appearance suffers because it's too light for a pale,) I'd add that it is exceptional for something so light in alcohol.

A dark golden pour with very minimal head. The nose was dull for the most part. The taste was mildy hoppy but not hopped up quite enough. Light malts as well and maybe some citrusy notes from orange zest. The middle of the beer lost me as the body was far too light and the presence of any hop.malts completely disappeared for me. There seemed to be some potential. Possibly a little more hop count and some light carbonation to liven this brew up a bit.

Light in alcohol. Urine yellow. No aroma. Fresh draft taste. Light summery, go with a sub. An average beer. Malty with tad of orange. Hops there. Touch of burnt smoke, which lingers with a bit of bitter aftertaste. Crisp and medium grainy mouthfeel with something going on.
