I've got to join the concensus and put this down as one of the best beers of the Toronto Beer Festival. Distinctive and a definite treat.
Hazy orange with a moderate head and good lace. Big hoppy nose over sweet malt, lots of grapefruit and maybe some orange there. Noticeable floral character. Very appetizing.
Taste is fruity and bitter. Again lots of grapefruit and orange. Nice big hop hit which I quite enjoy. Full mouthfeel, carbonated so as not to distract. Bitter and dry finish.
Grab some if you have a chance, a very enjoyable beer.

This was one of the best beers at the Toronto beer festival. It pours a hazy light brown with a nice foamy cask head. Lacing is pretty nice. The aroma is of american hops and sweet malt, very balanced. The taste is full of grapefruity hops. Theres also a rather cloying malt sweetness and strong alcohol taste. The mouthfeel is pleasantly 'watery' due to extremely sparse carbonation (even for a cask ale).
I expected more bitterness for 90 IBUs, still this is a great IPA. Judging by the strong alcohol flavor and somewhat cloying malt profile, Im guessing this sample was a bit young.

Fresh cask at Volo. Pours a cloudy amber orange with a one finger creamy head and plenty of lace. Smells like sweet malts, cascade floral aroma, can really smell the dryhopping byproducts. Taste the full and rich malt body tempered by a dry bitter finish with a lot of floral and fruity flavour. Mouth is creamy and full bodied, very drinkable and an excellent ale by Scotch Irish, impressed.

From a freshly tapped cask...
Hazy golden orange colour topped by an extremely dense, off-white head. Superb retention and generous clumps of foam cling to the glass. The aroma is full of hops, lots of citrus (grapefruit and orange) with a slight floral quality. There's also a little bit of maltiness that peeks through. Nice flavour balance between the malt and bitterness, but the bitterness wins in the end. Citrusy, almost tangerine, hop flavours dominate. The finish is dry, with piney character. Medium/light body with low carbonation. This is a great offering from Scotch Irish.

Smooth drinking grapefruity, malted to cover high bitterness, can taste the leaf residue. Bitter finish and reasonably bitter aftertaste. Hazy ornage and lots of lace. Juicy creamy apricot peach blend. A good effort. On tap at Volo Caffe. Very hot day, would like to try a bit cooler.
