Tap: Golden colored ale with a nice huge foamy white with good retention. Aroma is quite sweet malt as well as floral hops. Taste is very good with a creamy mouth feel followed by nice sweet malts. Body is average and all of this makes it one true session beer, maybe one the best that I had the chance of drinking recently.

On tap @ The Manx in Ottawa, ON. Light copper with a nice white head that lasts a long time and leaves nice lacing as well. The aromas are very interesting and consist of awesome citrusy hops, fresh oven-baked artisinal bread, and a snappy sour bite of yeast. The taste is hoppy up front, with some definate citrus notes and a lovely dry+hoppy finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, and smooth and the drinkability is good.

A great working of yeast from Onterio's most interesting microbrewery. Definate orange marmelade and sweet honey and challenger hopped. Full flavour for a low alcohol. Bitterness well offset by the unfiltered taste. They could bottle this. Pine and citrus hop aroma.

Finally got around to trying this after months in Ottawa. On tap at The Arrow & The Loon.

Colour is a copper-tinted gold, with bright white head that leaves excellent lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma is hoppy, and pleasant. Taste comes through well - some hops, well balanced by tasteful malts. Finishes with a strong hoppy bitterness, divinely. I was pleasantly surprised by this brew... didn't even know the style or type of beer that I was headed for. This is a must-try if you're ever in Ottawa!

second review: I'm not going to change the ratings here... there's really no need. It's not quite as amazing as I remember, but it's still a wonderful beer. On the brewery website they describe this as an English-style ordinary bitter. There's nothing ordinary about it, though. Still a wonderfully balanced beer, strongly bitter.... I got some orange flavours in the mid-body which quite suited the beer. This remains one of my favourites.
