I sampled this at the Toronto Beer Festival, it was tapped on Sunday.
It pours a hazy gold/straw color with not much of a head and no lace. Natural ginger is in full effect in the aroma, also some dough and spicey hops. The taste is light and crisp with a pleasant ginger bite. The ginger tends to dominate. The finish is kind of like ginger beer soda with a spicey bite. Carbonation is very low for a cask even.
This was an decent beer. While it was refreshing, it was the weakest Scotch Irish ale at the festival. Maybe a little less ginger would improve it.
