There was time to squeeze in 1 more bier before Alewife and I blew town, and The Three Needs was convenient after we left American Flatbread.
For some reason, not a whole lot on their bier menu grabbed me, so I settled for their IPA. A shaker pint of this was light to medium golden colored, with some murky haze muddling things up. Head was a fine, miniscule layer of white, with little lacework to be found. Nose was rather mild, despite the cascades, emitting a bit of citrus here and there. The body was medium all the way, and it did not raise a ruckus on the tongue.
Has a bit of subtle sweetness, though most of the palate action is hoppy and bitter. Citrus is present, with some grapefruit rind action in the mix. Somewhat better than average, though not by a lot, and fairly one-dimensional. Decent, but not one to seek out, imo.
Zum Wohl!

Pours a nice pale color. Aroma is one of mild hops and malt. The Cascades don't shine out as much as I'd hoped. It's still a solid IPA and similar to 3 Needs other IPA with exception of the there being different hops varieties. Pretty light for an IPA but unfortunately to me, nothing too impressive.
