Tried a pint at Weatherspoons in the Metro centre - I was gasping for a pint.
The barmaid made sure I got a full pint - she served it with about 1 and 1/2" inches of head but took it back to top it up unprompted after she served the rest of the round.
Excellent all round beer. Hoppy but with plenty of complex flavours in the background.

Tasted by a half pint last month at a local Wetherspoon pub, The Capitol, in Forest Hill, SE London. This beer is one of the December guest ales available at the JDW chain, served by a handpump w/o a sparkler.
A: pours a very clear copper hue; the thin off-white foamy head sustains well, on top of a very stable body w/o much signs of bubbles.
S: the slightly stinky edge of hays (like Fuggles) is mixed nicely with a lighter and peachy scent of American hops... malts are subdued in the background.
T: just like the nose, there're bitter+peacy-fruity hops upfront, backed by a predominant body of sweet nutty and slightly caramely malts... a roasted edge hides somewhere in the back as well; after the mid-palate it turns increasingly hoppy and bitter, added with sour-sweet taste of berry-fruits and a lingering "wild" sweetness of nectar, on top of a quieter nutty backbone; the finish sees a superb length and depth of hops and dryness...
M&D: medium-full bodied for its alc. strength, it's light and smooth on the mouthfeel, although it could've been more rounded to better suit the flavour. A very tasty wintry beer all the way through.
