Brewery says this is unfiltered, but it is nearly clear, just the slightest haze when compared to the Pale Ale. Light golden color with a decent foam on top. Odd aroma of fruit and hops, though the nose is toasty, like an English Pale Ale.
Thin body, and sharper than a lot of wheat beers. Quite bitter for the category, though the brewery says it has just 20 IBUs. Clean and quite drinkable. More of a Pale Ale taste with a hint of wheat. Not much trace of the German-style esters, except for a faint perfumey flavor.
Quite malty as you sip, with a sharp tang. Light and watery mouthfeel, but fruity and slightly sweet along with the hops. On tap at the brewpub.
