By far one of the best domestic Belgian ales I've had. This one is a great session ale.

This beer is basically a pale ale with muted hop flavor with an emphasis on soft malt flavors, a slight alcohol tinge, and spiciness from the Belgian yeast.

After only a few sips, I'm already halfway down my glass. A classic session ale from the folks at Angelic.

Serves up a bloodied, muddy dark peach body. Totally opaque. Large wispy head quickly settles down to a edging, with galactic swirls of lace across the surface.
Aromatics of clove, cracked black pepper, horse, hay, tart apple, and pineapple.
While this looks like a dubbel, it tastes like a tweaked pale strong.
Hugely fruity. Pineapple jumps out right away, coupled with grape skins, mango and passion fruit. This is all doused with liberal amount of caramel. Loads of pepper and cloves as well. Breadiness provides the canvas. Yeast is all over this, but in the best way possible. Hay and farmy flavors enter midway. Recedes towards the finish with a slight (noble?) hop burst with lingering notes of the grape skin flavor and some tart apple.
Glassy, smooth body is tempered with rippling, tiny carbonation. Medium-full bodied, almost chewy.
Numbingly drinkable. Both literally and figuratively. I've had growlers of this disappear faster than the Milwaukee Brewers' Pennant chances. I cannot stress enough how downable this is, and how fun it is to drink. However, this one does deserve respect as the relatively high ABV is totally masked.

One of the most authentic tasting stateside Belgians I've had. Every single nuance is in place and then some. Unique in its own right, as it doesn't try to clone any of the classics.
Positively lovely.
I flock to Angelic whenever this is on tap.
