On cask at the brewpub. Poured into a 10 ounce glass.
A-Pours black with a minimal off white head.
S-Lots of raspberry is apparent in the nose when it is first poured. The chocolate comes out as it warms. The roasty/espresso/coffee notes are kept in the background by the fruit and chocolate.
T-Raspberry is very dominant when it first goes down. The chcocolate comes through in the middle and becomes a lot more pronounced as it warms. The espresso notes are apparent in the aftertaste.
M-Smooth cask mouthfeel. Does not leave the mouth with a roasty feeling.
D-Great for a desert drink. One is plenty.
I thought this was a great way to spiff up their imperial stout. It is a big after dinner beer. The 10 ounce serving was the perfect size.
