Presented with a sweet nose of apples and no head to speak of, nearly flat with a dark caramel coffee color. Velvety smooth on the tongue with the faintest hint of carbonation. Somewhat sour with a cherry or strawberry tease on the tongue and a very mild bitter finish. Oddly enough, almost reminiscent of a dank wash towel, though significantly more refreshing and medium light bodied. A decent brew, though probably not one of my go to favorites.

Tag at the bar says "Port/Brandy Barrel Kilt lifter" assuming this is probably the same beer.
Deep amber red color with good clarity and large poofy head.
Aroma is dark and fruity, sweet malt.
Flavor is large and sweet, light and dark fruit mix well together, lots of brandy barrel character towards the end, really smooth and sweet finish.
Damn tasty, really enjoyed my half-pint of this!

On-tap at Beachwood,
A: Pours a red/brown with a light white head, some lace.
S: Great smell of candied strawberries, molasses and sugar.
T: Strawberry, cherry and red fruit. Notes of maple. Great integration of the sweetness and the fruit. Never really has a wine flavour, but the barrel and oak certainly take over.
M: Smooth and creamy. Real good body, full-bodied, robust.
D: Absoultely delicious, almost Flanders Red like in its approach, I loved this beer.
