A bavarian classic! Decent and enjoyable beer. Malts are light, medium carbonation, the grainy taste in retainable and works great. Crispy and refreshing.

On tap at WVRST, served in a Thurn und Taxis branded stein. Listed as a pale lager on their menu at 5%ABV, so I'll assume that this is the same beer.

Crystal clear gold with a dense white cap, good lacing and a nice layer of retention. Nose has some pale grains, light grass and light maltiness. Taste is just the same, grainy, pale malts, white bread with light Noble hopping perhaps. Some milk flavour in the finish. Light bitterness in the finish, and a typical pale lager feel - light body, medium-high carbonation. Easily drinkable and average for the style.

Tingy bright white head didn't last very long. Glowing straw colored beers is full of tiny bubbles. Solid herbal hop aroma with a faint pale malt sweetness and some spring flowers. Mouthfeel is watery, but with enough carbonation to keep it clean. Grassy/herbal hops have a nice bite that rides on a lightly sweet malt base. The flavor is simple, but ample and enjoyable. Quite a drinkable beer.
