Pours red amber color with a small off white head that faded quickly and left very minimal lacing. Hopefully it was the pour as this looked pitiful when served in a pint at Relish in Kings Park. Smells of caramel, malt, cherry or some dark fruit, herbs, brown sugar and grains. Sweet and malty with nice fruity hints. Tastes like it smells with caramel, sweet malt, cherry, light floral hops, dark fruit, herbs, brown sugar, toffee and toasted grains. Peat moss notes come through after each swallow that's got candy like sweetness too. Mouthfeel is light and watery, with light carbonation, a lighter body and a grainy aftertaste. Overall it was decent, but had no real special qualities or flavors that really stood out, and the minimal hop presence made in very unbalanced. I love the name and wish it would have tasted better.
