This is a slightly darker rendition of their Street Light. It pours a clear ruby color, with not much of a head to speak of, and little lacing around the glass. The aroma is faint, slightly bready and notes of caramel.
The flavor is an Ok balance of light hops and a caramel malt backbone; the malt is more present, though. The aftertaste is a bit odd, bread-like and almost sour in flavor. Mouthfeel is too thin and fizzy for me. Not much body on this beer. Overall, This is a completely average red ale with not much going for it. Their Boys' Red is a much better choice, in my opinion.
