The Brickhouse has been brewing a bunch of new beers lately, and I can't pass up on a nice Belgian so I checked this one out. It pours a deep gold color with a minimal white head and decent lacing around the glass. Aroma was spicy, grassy, and a bit bready.
As far as tripels go this is a farily standard interpretation of the style. There are grassy notes, a big spice profile, and that patented sweetness in the finish (with just a hint of alcohol). Mouthfeel was full, crisp, clean. This beer hits you kind of quickly, but still remains drinkable throughout. It's not going to give true Belgians a run for their money, but this was one of the better beers I've had from Brickhouse.
