Poured a deep copper hue with a one finger foamy off white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured toasted malts, some dark fruit and a full herbal hop.
The taste was an intense medley of toasted malts, burnt candy sugar, caramel and an intense drying herbal hop.
The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style with an intense lingering herbal dryness.
Overall a superior ale. Very much akin to Stone AB.
