What an odd beer pours deep mahogany ruby amber when held to the light with a decent thicket of cream colored lacing which leaves speckled lacing. Aromatics slightly toasted weird malt profile nonexistent hops and an off toilet water like scent. For as clean tasting and well made the Stoney's beer is this is amazingly off the mark, flavor is blend of slight caramel toasted malt with a cloying harshness that can only be experienced. Good marketing move by not marketing this beer let's keep it weird abstract hard to come rarity. Mouthfeel the carbonation is harsh on and makes each swallow a task hurting drinkability in turn. Yeah I have had all of the Stoney's B&T I will ever need for a life time.

Dark caramel colored beer pours with a moderate, long lasting head. I can smell notes of roasted malt and caramel from a foot away. Much of the same up close, and it's very inviting. A bit of a mild sweetness on the tongue from the first sip, followed by a thin, roasted dark lager malt taste. There's a huskiness to the taste as well, and it finishes with a sour tinged hop note. A teasing caramel note shows up in the aftertaste, then is pushed aside by a metallic flavor. Mouthfeel is thin with harsh carbonation. Drinkability is sub-standard, especially since B&T's are generally smooth and easy drinking by nature. Not a great experience, but better than some.
