Very impressed with this place.
Huge beer garden with outside bar if needed.
The inside is split into two drinking areas within one large room, a half wall cum ornate grill is the devide. Both sections were heaving with people when we arrived (mid evening on a Wednesday in Sept 2006). We found seats and the overworked lad serving was very helpful and fun, even though he was rushed off his feet.
Basic decor, nothing flash or fancy, this is a drinking and eating place, not a 'look at me' dandy's bar.
My Currywurst was very good, as were the chips, others in my party ate a variety of dishes and nothing was left on any plates, so that tells you the food is fine!
The two beers on offer were both good, a helles and dunkel, served in .4 litre glass mugs. We stayed for a long time and had a great evening.
It is well out of town, but close to the railway station and the hotel we were in, glad it was recommended to me.
