Appearance is clouded golden with thick, white lacing that quickly became a thin, spotted white lace.
The smell was dominated by bubblegum - very similar to a weisse. It also had hints of citrusy fruits and pear and apple.
The taste was of creamy bubblegum and clove - Other flavors came through, such as orange peel, pears and apples. The yeast flavor was present (the menu stated that trappist yeast was used), but held in check by the flavors. It had characteristics that were closer to a Bavarian weisse than a Belgian - though it was more like a mix of the two.
The mouthfeel was clean and smooth - a touch of buttery notes made it smooth - creamy and refreshing.
This was an all-round good brew. I was so satisfied I took a growler home.
