A-Attractive deep brown mahogany with red highlights when held to light. Filtered clarity, and a tan head that dissipates quickly. The beer on tap in the brewpub held its head pretty well though. This is from a 3 month old growler so will give it credit for better.
S-Caramel malts and a hint of spice, but only a hint.
T-Carmel malts predominate, with a mild cinnamon and licorice spicing, a midrange hop bitterness to balance it out. Nice overall offering.
M-Decent balanced mouthfeel, but a bit on the light side for my tastes from a warmer.
D-I'm going to say this one is pretty decently done. Not a standout, but a solid effort from a solid brewpub. Warmers tend to be hit and miss as its either "love them or hate them" in small batches like this, but this hits on all cylinders in a middle of the road sort of way. I picked up this growler back in Mid December and finally opened it up today (late March) I always make it a point of taking home something from the brewpubs I visit and I figured I'd grab their seasonal. Would do it again next year.

from the brewpub: This beer was made to celebrate the winter holidays. Made with three different crystal malts and hints of spice, this beer is perfect in front of a fire on a cold winter day.
A - nice clear reddish brown beer with a nice offwhite head
S - some caramel, hint of spice and light floral hops
T - caramel, touch of spice, dull bitter background hops and a bit of oxidation
M - medium bodied, nicely carbonated, slightly oxidized with a flat hop bite.
D - a few sips in there is a hop / oxidation note that detracts
