On-tap poured into snifter.
A - Poured slightly orange clear color with medium head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing.
S - Tartness and cherries upfront, wheat and yeast afterwards.
T - Very sour upfront followed by wheat and slightly bitter finish.
M - Light bodied with medium carbonation.
D - Ok but too sour for my taste. Will limit myself to one drink.

22 oz counter-pressure Bierkraft-filled 22 oz. growler into red wine glass.
Pours a murky, coppery red with a nice 1.5 finger white-pink head that settles into a nice long lasting solid 1/8" cap with some decent lacing. Would like a bit more of a true red, but not a bad looking beer. Just not prototypical by any stretch.
Nose is really singing. Bright, tart red fruits (cherries foremost, but rasberries and currant can almost come out) are out front with a light fruity sweetness coming out as well, and a very light wheaty pie-crust note in the back. You get just a hint of musty lemon zing in there, but the fruit is the star in this one. Surprisingly nice nose.
If the nose is good, the taste is just rockin'. Nice and puckeringly tart right from the start, the bright, juicy sour cherries are the big player here, with just a hint of underlying sweetness. The sourness has just enough musty complexity to keep it from being artificial or cloying - this one tastes legit. I'd be interested in finding out if this was aged on oak - I get a bit of dry oak towards the finish, gets stronger as the beer warms. My only complaint is that the finish is just a bit clean - the sourness falls off a tiny bit early for my tastes, I'd prefer if it really followed through right to the finish. But still, this is a pretty damn solid sour for a brewery that few outside of Brooklyn have even heard of.
Mouthfeel is very crisp, sharply carbonated with a light body. Pretty much spot on.
Drinkability gets high marks for me as well - clean, not as complex as a lot of sours but it focuses on one aspect of it (tart, juicy, bright cherries) and really nails it. As a result, not quite complex enough to be world class, but refreshing and delicious in a slightly different, more quaffable manner in my opinion.

Sampled at whole foods bowery. pours a hazy, dull red, nice head. Smells like tart cherries - hooray its a kriek! Taste is a perfect mix of sourness and sweetness. Sourness is not intense, but dominates the flavor, sweetness is subtle, but it ends slightly dry. Sourness is mostly lactic, imparting hints of funky cheese. Nicely carbonated. Booya! I didn't pick this one up because they were out of 32 oz bottles and 64 oz would probably be a little much, but I am beginning to regret it. Call me blasphemous but I prefer this to Cantillon Kriek. Get it while supplies last.
