A Classic Baltic Porter, it is brewed with numerous specialty malts to give both chocolate and coffee notes. We also added some smoked malt to give it a hint of smoke. Fermented with German Bock yeast, this robust beer is full bodied and comes in at 7% ABV.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Fudge brownie with nuts is what stands out on the nose, with secondary aromas of dark fruits. The beer is dark, and muddy, with a brown hue and a thin brown head that has ok retention and a light, messy lace. The taste is a medium to medium high chocolate bittersweet. It's a bit chewy with fuzzy carbonation. The medium full body has flavors of fudge, raisins, plums and a hint of smokiness and it finishes creamy and smooth with dark chocolate and nuts. The aftertaste is lighty cloying with a smoky, bitter, rich chocolate that lingers.

Dark near black with a nice thick khaki colored head that fades to a cap but doesn't leave much lacing. Lots of dark and milk chocolate in the nose, some char and roasted malt backbone. Sweet up front, chocolate, dark chocolate, some light char and a battering note of coffee. Nice full medium body with a creamy feel all the way through. Nice surprise here, a very well done porter.

Huge amount of head. Very dark with a cherry glow. Tastes lighter than most porters.

Poured into a 6 oz tasting glass, color is black, tan head, presents very thick at over 1 inch then dissipates to a ring with some lacing.
Smell is definitely roasted malt, hint of chocolate, a touch sweet but very enticing.
Taste is a touch sweet on the chocolate side upfront, then dries out through the finish; malts are roast, chocolate, light toffee, hops are clean but bitter and balance towards the end.
Mouthfeel is a little sweet for a baltic porter, but not cloying or lingering in a negative way; hops dry out on the tongue quite well.
Overall, a solid beer, maybe a touch sweet for my preference on a baltic porter style but still delicious

2/7..picked up a sixer at Ewing NJ brewery. This pours dark black, full out, tan foam. Hearty malt nose, earthy, coffee hints. Taste opens all coffee flavor and finishes fast and dry. Subtle bitter. Full flavor mouthfeel, lighter carbonation. Tasty. Two thumbs up for sure.
