Served in a Pint glass October 11, 2008 at the River Horse Oktoberfest.
a - Poured a deep maple syrup color. 1 finger head lasted a few minutes.
s - It was outdoors and I'm not good with smell anyway. Nothing stood out for me
t - more sweet than bitter though still well balanced, a little spicy, tasty
m - not to thick though it looked it, carbonation was average
d - Tasty and went down easy, low ABV, reasonably light, very sessionable
Interesting that the previous reviewer mentioned it was highly carbonated, I didn't get that though I have with one of their bottled varieties...

poured a very dark brown with almost no head.
had a high carbonation level which is something im not a fan of.
had a nice earthy aroma which went with the taste.
taste had a very smokey woody flavor. almost as if you could taste the barrel it was aged in. dont think it was aged in a barrel though. this flavor stuck with me from start to finish.
the body was light which i think had to do with the high carbonation and low a/v.
all in all a decent beer. not their best brew and was not similar to most oktober fest beers i have tried
