Bottle from the brewpub.

Pours a dark reddish brown, fairly good clarity when held to the light. A finger of tan foam, recedes to a thin skim and a few larger bubbles cluster to one side.

Aroma is nice as it warms, some faintly sweet caramel and plum, and bready malt.

Taste is malt forward with some light hints of dried fruit and nuttiness. Aftertaste is lightly toasty but pretty bare. Feels a little bit more substantial than the stout, but still a little thin. Overall not bad, one of the better ones from O'Griff's.

Pours a very dark, hazy amber color. 1/5 inch head with little head and little retention. Smells of sweet malt and roasted malt. Fits the style of an Irish Red Ale. Mouth feel was smooth and crisp with a high carbonation level present. Tastes of roasted malts up front, then slight hops are noticeable, with a good sweet finish. Overall, a well blended beer that was easy to drink, but a little lacking in the appearance.

Appearance - Copper/Reddish in color. Very clear when held to light. I can't review the head as the local barmaids have a tendency to pour no head and all the way to the top, very disappointing.

Smell - Tea, light malt, copper? Yeah, there's deffinelty a copper aroma to this...

Taste - Tea/Coffee-ish, light malt, almost a cara/crystal flavored malt. Again I tasted copper. This could be due to dirty lines, not sure.

Mouthfeel - Medium body, wet, nice malt bite with light hop aftertaste, again the copper was apparent and gave the beer an acidic afterbite.

Drinkability - not easy. The last review said this was one of the better brews, maybe the lines weren't cleaned, I don't know, but this was hard to drink.
