i expected just a couple of their basic beers when i visited these guys, but to my surprise and delight, they had quite a few options beyond the red and the brown and the basics they were known for. this is a golden ale type with blueberries, and its pretty balanced and well done, with enough body and grain character than it doesnt drink like juice, and a natural blueberry flavor without being too sweet or forced in anyway. my ladys dad loved it, i thought it was a bit under carbonated for the kind of all day drinking i like to do, but they did a nice job with the flavors, some honey, some tartness real quick from the skins, a floral lavender sort of aspect, and some pale barley, nice and simple, but summery and natural enough, this should have pretty wide appeal, and stands as one of their more interesting ones on the menu for now. champagne carbonation would make this, i think it would do well in a wine barrel too, but its simple nature now is pretty cool too. enjoy this one while it lasts this summer!
