Pours a translucent red with a finger of off-white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is toasty, nutty, caramely, bready, nutty malts with very light grassy hops. Emphasis is completely on the malts. Flavor profile is nutty, caramely, bready, toasty malts with a little candied sugar and grassy hops. Big emphasis on the malts. Mouth feel is medium-thin with light grit and a softening effervescence. Overall, malt forward red ale with a swig of hops for depth.

Clear copper colored pour with a small white head. Light malty aroma. Taste has a nice sweetness upfront with caramel dominating the taste. Can also taste some wet bread and an earthy bitterness in the finish.

Impression from a bottle purchased at Prost brewing (where it was brewed).
Red malts. Pale malts. Generic floral hop character.
Drinkable albeit a bit dry and coarse. Pretty mediocre across the board.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a beer glass.
Look is a dark rich mahogany with a head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma is almost medicine sweet malt.
Taste is bland with a slightly fake cherry note.
Definitely not a great beer.

Looks like a brown ale; tastes like a cross between a brown and a red. Hints of something reminiscent of an Oktoberfest, but it never really comes through or stays with you. A bit on the bland side.

Brownish copper color with a one-finger thick, creamy head. Malty aroma with a gentle fruitiness on top; some toasted grain notes. Roasted, grainy flavor balanced with a low-key bitterness. Medium body; rich and warm on the palate.
A delicious, malt-forward beer that delivers a nice, balanced, complex toasted grain and mild bitterness with every sip.

Appearance is similar to Killians, red brown copper, good off white foam and doily-like lace. Aroma is the obligatory malt and hops. Initially that is what you taste: but soon subtle flavors obtrude currants and esters can be detected. Finish is clean and crisp.
