Pours a perfectly clear golden color with a soapy white head and plenty of lace. Aroma of grassy, floral hops and some grains. Definitely a nice hop-forward aroma.
In the taste, bready malts and a restrained hop flavor. The hops come off floral, minty, grassy and even have a light orange/citrus aspect. Fair amount of bitterness but with the malt sweetness the beer finishes more or less even.
It is drinkable, and certainly agreeable. Medium bodied lager with a moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a decent lager but I was hoping for more.

Bottle > Sensory Pils glass
A - Perfect clear gold with one finger of foamy white head, medium lacing.
S - Candied orange, caramels, some biscuit, lemongrass, a tad astringent.
T - Sweet orange candies up front, then some light caramel, and a biscuit malt, mid mouth you get a really nice clean pine and earthy bitterness.
M - Incredibly smooth, very clean and refreshing.
O - I think this is wayyyy different from the regular IPL, you dont get the big west coast aroma in this one. There's a nice fresh bitterness middle through the flavor which makes it nice, but the sweetness could be toned down.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear amber color with a one finger of a foamy pure white head. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave some nice streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is a nice blend of malty aromas mixed with a nice blend of hop smells. The malty aromas are a mix of a doughy and bready smell with some sweeter aromas of caramel and some light fruit aromas. The hop aroma that compliments the malt is quite large of floral smells mixed with some lighter notes of pine and an earthy hop. Overall the aroma is quite nice.
Taste – The taste is quite like the nose would suggest. It begins with a nice bready and doughy taste with some flavors of a pine and earthy hop upfront. Sweeter flavors of a caramel malt are present upfront as well with then initially losing ground more toward the middle of the taste, only to come back at the end of the taste. The hop flavors that were present upfront, get stronger as the taste moves on and are joined by a lighter floral hop taste more toward the end of the taste. The earthy flavors get the strongest more toward the end, and with the increase in sweet caramel and the nice blend of hops that are on the tongue, one is left with a rather refreshing, sweet, but yet decently crisp flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side to slightly lower side in terms of thickness with a carbonation level that is on the average side. The moderate carbonation and body are rather nice for the blend of hop and malt flavors of the brew and create a very easy drinking brew.
Overall – A nicely, none citrus dominated, hopped up lager. A very enjoyable brew and one they will hopefully make a regular.
