Part of the Peter Straub Signature Brews Adventure Series #2. As dark as the night skies at Cherry Springs State Park, Stellar Night shines bright with its 2017 Gold Medal from the Best of Craft Beer Awards. Medium-bodied with plenty of toasted malty bread notes and mild hop character, this traditional Bavarian Dunkel lager is a star in and of itself. Whether your behind a telescope or just sitting around the fire gazing up at the Milky Way this brew will take you to the moon and back. We wish you all a Stellar Night!

Good two-finger starting head. It sticks around throughout. Some streaks for lace. The liquid is milk chocolate brown with light passing easily. Clear.
Darker caramel aroma. Sweet but not overbearing.
Relatively thin bodied with a moderate carbonation level. The taste is drier than the smell and it gives the beer a chocolatey caramel flavor. Light hop provides some balance. The finish is like a darker home-brew.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is dark brown, amber edges, head is light tan, very fine bubbles, nice dense lingering top with lacing on the glass edges.
Smell is moderate chocolate malt, light munich character, earthy dry, grassy hops, though subtle.
Taste is very pleasant with clean malt flavors, light toast and dry/bitter chocolate notes, hint of munich malts, clean and fresh hops.
Mouthfeel is moderate with crisp carbonation and then a lingering dryness.
Overall a very good, clean flavored dunkel.
