This is apparently a contract brew for the Devonshire Cat pub, Sheffield. Tasted by a pint recently at the Devonshire Cat, sparkler-poured in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: extremely pale straw in colour, transparent, with a light white foam on top of little carbonation in sight.
S: pale malt's residual sugary note mixed well with a mildly salty hint as in grapefruits and sulphur. Feather light and simple.
T: white grapefruit-zesty and savoury-bitter hoppiness is joined force by a mildly floral and randomly lemony taste, but the aftertaste remains zesty bitter. Some signs of pollen and limestone-ish mineral elements are at the fringe, preceding the above-said long, clean, bitter end.
M&D: very light-bodied and very refreshing given that suitably soft carbonation; despite the good zesty-bitter profile featuring hops, this beer drinks almost too soft and light in flavour, hence only average drinkability.
