An excellent beer that I really enjoyed and would easily consider getting a growler of.
Appeared a viscous, opaque black with a fluffy, gentle head that sits patiently. Aromas of burnt toast, roasted malt, and grains were apparent. The taste was just incredible; rich and creamy with a smoked character that enhanced the enjoyment of every sip. This is easily the best example of this style I've ever had (though I haven't had many). The flavors of dark chocolate and roasted grains added depth and smoothness to the beer. Great mouthfeel and excellent drinkability despite its rich feel and texture.

Black brew with light tan head. Great retention and pretty lacing.

Mocha chino aroma.

Pale and caramel malts with maybe some chocolate coming through. The faintest hint of bitterness peaks its head in the ro

Mouthfeel came off as being way too light, with no oomph happening.

Had several beers today as part of a brew tour. This was the weakest stout of the day.

Served on tap at the brewpub in a pint glass.

Appearance: Black with crimson highlights. Topped by a rocky light tan head. Eventually it receded to a small layer of foam and left sheets of lacing down the sides of the glass.

Smell: Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Burnt malts abound.

Taste: Bittersweet roasted and burnt black malts. Lingering sweetness on the finish.

Mouthfeel: Thick and hearty, or at least it feels that way.

Drinkability: Certainly the best of the beers I had that night. My girlfriend loved it. Maybe just a little bit to sweet, but that seemed to be the problem with the beers I had.
