Tall clear half litre bottle found in Cambridge, England: reviewed two weeks after its best before date.
Poured twice into a Palm badged tulip: the beer is a lovely dark ruby red and on top sits a deep tan coloured head.
The smell is sweet molasses, buckets of them, roasted caramel and toffees.
The taste follows the nose, a sweet malty flavour with no or very little hop infussion to be found.
On the thin side for such a good looking dark beer and just a bit too sugary for my taste, even though I normally prefer the maltier, sweeter brews.
Glad I found it, along with a few other Baltic/Eastern European bottles while visiting Cambridge.
