Big, very German place just a bit southeast of the center of Moscow. There's a definite medieval feel to the place, with lots of carved wood and banners hanging from the ceiling. Very kid friendly, with a children's room and special kids' shows every Sunday. Two rooms with balconies seat at least 200 people. The waitresses all wear dirndls.
Sixteen beers on tap, including 7 Germans, 4 Czechs, 2 Russians, 2 Irish (Murphy's, Guiness) and one Danish. All are served in proper logo glassware on top of the proper logo coaster. I tried three, and was impressed by how well they were kept and served. The food was OK, including a $15 all you can eat smorgasbord (kids under six eat free, even if the adults don't eat anything!). The service was prompt and pleasant. Even if I didn't have a 3.5 year old daughter, I'd go back to this place. Well done!
