Dark and silky smooth, this is the brewing industries answer to Isaac Hayes.
Pours a dark black colour with a thick tan head which puts off a mocha aroma mixed with walnuts. The taste is also very much mocha. Very malty. Very nice. It's worth a trip to Bru just for this. The other beers are pretty good too.

"Spitball Stout" is way too accurate a title. Roasty sweet black oatmeal stout. Not much graininess as a St. Ambroise or Fuller. More mocha and nuts than coffee, which is fine with my preference. Somewhat watery but fine to drink, unfiltered as all their line- it works.

This is another winner from the Brew Master at Bru in Rochester, NY. It poured a deep, viscous ebony with a frothy chocolate head that receded nicely and left a sumptuous lace. The smell was of slightly roasted figs, coffee and nutty malts. The taste followed suit, dominated by a light musty mocha, which was balanced off by an underlying sweetness of sun-dried raisens and grains. The mouthfeel was exquisite: thick and creamy offset by medium carbonation. I highly recommend this brew for anyone who digs the style.

A very nice oatmeal stout, this one is very dark in the glass, and the hints that escape with brighter light are murky and dull. Overall more brown than black actually. Came with a beautiful full dark tan head that receded with little wisps of lace. Coffee smells were immediately evident, as were malts and some bitter chocolates. Pretty typical for a stout of this kind. The taste had the bittersweet chocolate tastes, with a tiny bit of coffee, and hops and malt rounded out the back taste. Relatively thick body to this beer, with mildly heavy carbonation. Actually a good stout to acompany the Cincinnati Chili that I had for dinner.
