Monterrey Light Pours a delicate clear amber from a 12oz clear glass bottle with a beautiful panted on label. Head went to over two fingers with a firm pour into my 16oz beer tumbler. The light foam turns rocky then slowly collapses down to a well defined ring at the surface, and with ample lace along the sides of my beer tumbler.

Nose is a damp toasted barley malt,. Palate is a well represented barley malt, a light touch of hops, and finishes with a clean brisk bight of carbonation.

I am quite pleased with this offering from Cerveceria Monterret, S.A. In my humble opinion, Monterrey Light is on of the best light beers that has been my pleasure to review.

I guess this is supposed to be similar to Corona Light. Pale yellow/gold with a minimal white head and no lacing. Faint hops aroma. Light-bodied and virtually flavorless except for some mild hops, but at least it didn’t taste bad. The finish is akin to soda water. While this beer did nothing for me I’d probably choose it over Corona Light just because Corona’s commercials are so annoying.
