I first experienced this ale this on tap in Brussles in 1989. Had it over and over again (sometimes in bottles) that same winter as well in Holland and also in Germany. It has a deep brilliant copper color, an airy white head and some lacing. Sweet caramelized malts and fruity hops in the nose. Tasting dried fruits, citrus rind, toasted malts. Beautifully balanced, fairly light and somewhat crisp and bright. A wonderful tasting easy drinking simple everyday ale.

i found a sixer at the local grocer without having tried this ,tossed it into the cart along with some chub scottish ale for backup in case it was one of those corporate labelling blaaah wanna be ales supposedly from Belgium.

dissapointed ! smell ,taste etc. where ?? no hops , flavor where ? it's boring! which i dont use to often just junk Fast brewer crapola
go back to brewer school this is a ripoff with a neat looking box and bla bla bla on what it is ..well it ain't a Belgian Ale

we make better belgian styles such as Ommegang here in the USA

serving pint glass at 60° ,2 finger artificially carbonated head which fades to cacaraca no hops baloney in past reviews, malt where ?

a good easy to find benchmark of traditional Belgian ales is Chimay, Trappist ale dubel tripel etc... barley ..barley barley /// usa Ommegang Ales
like totall barley mind blowing good

this is a correct review of this beer ,save your money. NEXT
