This beer is near abbey tripel territory, but has some features lacking. Appearance is bland and dull, head is almost non-existent. Aroma is musty, sour hay and flowery, but seems slightly off. Taste is also underwhelming, sweet and buttery, but without the hops punch you’d expect from it having three kinds. A little more work and this might be really, really good.

A: clear light amber colour, big head

S: orange, peach, biscuitty, hint of vanilla

T: once again orange and peach, but with a more hoppy finish, with some slight acidity

M: slightly thin, could use som more carbonation

O: really pleasant beer, not overtly complex, or innovative, but a solid beer

I tried this beer with thanks to my brother in law; Maarten. He is starting to get into beers as well.

A - A dark yellow fluid that is slightly hazy and has a off white, three finger big head. There is no carbonation visible.

S - A good smell of citrus, yeast, a touch of alcohol and banana.

T - Slightly sweet taste with good hoppy flavor, medium complex brew. Nothing is overdone. The body is good and full for the taste. The alcohol is present.

M - A good mouth feeling with medium carbonation and a rather thick feeling, the bitterness comes in the finish.

O - A good triple but not standing out in the triple forest.

Poured from a 750ml corked bottle into a Duvel tulip glass. Robust head with liberal lacing, a cloudy straw color.

Aroma was banana, lemon, and hoppy.

Taste was not as hoppy as the aroma, tended to follow the banana and lemon smell. While the hops did not lead the way, they played an important role in the supporting cast.

Felt good in the mouth, nice balance with the carbonation.

Obtained in Belgium this 75cl cork and caged brown bottle with a life until 3rd Aug 2020. I reviewed the beer in May 2011.

The beer pours a mini-cloudy straw yellow, what head that appeared soon departed leaving nothing but a collar.

The smells were of tropical fruits and vanilla, both fairly strong.

The taste was simular to the smells, with a hop undertone. The hops gave the beer a pleasant dry aftertaste and overall the beer was well put together and easy to drink.

This beer is brewed by the presenters of the Belgium TV show tournee generale (a show about beer)
Look: hazy golden-orange and with a dense, white head
Smell: banana and lemon, yeast and grains, some spices and some citrus peel
Taste: The flavor is not too exciting, reminds me a of an ordinary tripel with just some hints of added American hops. Not bitter at all.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation. easy to drink
Overall: Belgiums know how to brew great beer, but don’t know anything about hoppy beers. Proven again.
