This bottle was a 1998 vintage bottle in very good shape at the Kroegske. Appearence: Orange color, clear, light head. Aroma: Malt sweetness. Some bitterness also. Flavor: Malty caramel, balanced by bitterness-almost bitter chocolate. Slight sourness. Finish: Malty bitter-sweet finish. By the way, I certainly would not categorize this beer as a "Scotch Ale". I'm not sure who decided to put in in that category, but it does not belong there, nor is it labelled as such.
