a well made and rather unique beer in a style that doesnt normally inspire much stoke for me. this is made with red wheat, which alone is pretty cool, but its also well hopped, almost more of a pale ale than a wheat beer really, with both a juicy fruity dry hopped complexion, and also more bitterness than we usually find in most wheat beer types. there is a nice low red amber glow to this, clear for what it is, with a pretty white head on top of the pint glass. aroma is juicy hops, citra and amarillo i think they use, with a candied orange and fresh grapefruit explosion, mouthwatering. the flavor is earthy and a little sweet from the grain, this red wheat has a lot of flavor, more nutty and earthy tasting than normal pale wheat malt, i like it here a lot. it stays light too, not the usual wheaty body weight to this at all, its lighter than that, clean even. some sweetness in the middle gives way to the fruity hops and a little finishing bitterness. this is a flavorful and interesting glass of beer, especially in this style. well done!
