Brewed in collaboration with Swedish heavy metal band Ghost (AKA Ghost B.C. in the US) and distributor Brands for Fans.
Scotch Ale is a style of beer originating from Scotland, where the scottish beers are often characterized by heavier, bigger brews. Grale is based on six different malts, with both wiener and pilsener malt in the mix, before it sees the addition of four different hops; El Dorado, Citra, Magnum Fuggles and Amarillo. It is categorised as relatively strong with an ABV of 6,66%.

A - Pours a deep burgundy color with an ultra thin lacing and nice legs as the glass is swirled, very sticky.
S - Malty, grainy aroma with some malt sweetness. Raw grain aroma.
T - Toasted malt graininess with some caramel toffee sweetness and light citrus towards the tail end. Mild lingering bitterness.
M - Nice medium body that's slippery.
O - Nice Scotch Ale, not easy to get.

Huge thanks to olradetbalder for helping me get this one. This beer poured out as a deep brown color. Scattered head with light lacing on the glass. The smell is earthy with a subtle citrus note hidden in there. Really hard to describe the aromas coming off of this one. The flavors of roasted malt and caramel with a hoppy bite in there too. In the late finish of the beer there is a toasted dry chocolate flavor that comes along. The mouthfeel is pretty heavy which is good. There is a subtle carbonation to it as well helps dry out the sweetness of the malt. Overall it's a good brew, not sure if it's really a Scotch Ale or not but all in all it's enjoyable. Really happy I got to try this one!

Pours brown, copperish.
Smell of malts, and lots of is. Some really nice hops to go with it that gives a nice citusy finish.
Taste, again very malty, but not as sweet as you would expect. Very well balanced with the hops and nothing takes the real upperhand. Citrusy, herbal finish.
I am very impressed by this brew, I never thought Nils Oscar would ever pull one as good as this again. Mote like a really good cascadian dark ale than a Scotch ale.
