Look: Reddish burgundy/mahogany brown almost clear liquid. Slightly pinkish white head, thick and frothy. The foam lingers nicely.
Smell: Sweet caramel, toffee, cream and light chocolate. Just slightly roasty. Even though the aroma is quite sweet, there's a nice crispy sulfury tone in the nose - perfect for the style.
Taste: More of the characteristics in the aroma. A bit on the sweet side (as is expected of the style), but finishes crispy and light. More toasty/roasty bread crust and bittersweet coffee on the palate than the nose.
Feel: Crispy and light. Even though the beer is very flavorful and strong, it feels quite light and refreshing on the palate. Leaves a nice crispness on the insides of the cheeks.
Overall: Sweet creamy caramel and toffee. Roasty/toasty bread crust and coffee. Quite sweet and strong but drinks light and finishes crispy. An excellent example of the style! Ticks all the boxes of the style guidelines.
