Bottle (33cl), poured clear brilliant of dark copper color, quickly dissolves the head into snoozes at surface haze. Regular intensity comes of on a malty sniffy sniff underlying crisp bread, toffee, dried apricots and herbs. The beer has a soft and mild mouth feel followed by a quickly wane but at first vivid bitterness and a light to medium carbonation. Crisp bread and hops repeats itself on the palate. Dried fruits strikes in an average length finish. Worrying occurs by the slight spiking on the mid-palate, basis the alcohol level of 4,5%. This beer is still however of high drinkability. http://quaffable.org/?p=20

The beer is clear amber, has a small warm off-white head, leaving no lacing. Some curtains.
The smell is all malt, bread, porridge, nuts, syrup.
Starting with sweet brown bread, some honey, grains, molasses, a slight lemon peel finish.
Medium low carbonation, small bubbles, slightly sticky, a big body, a smooth dry finish.
A good malt beer and part of the refreshing less hop trend.

A: Pours pale copper with a white medium-large semi-compact head. Decent lacings after slow dissipation.
S: Rich malt, balanced sweet and bready. Slight metallic smell. But the smell is all about the malt.
T: The malt follows the smell, only more creamy and smooth. In the taste there’s also a nice fruityness to it, as well as a very nice berry vibe.
M: Medium, smooth body with a well balanced carbonation. Aftertaste is very bready and slightly bitter.
O: An Altbier on the maltier side – in my mouth – the better side…

Testing this beer well chilled, poured from a bottle into a tulip glass
A: A very clear, copperish colored beer. I did expect it to be more brown since this is an alt-bier. A nice foamy head is created when poured into the glass. The foam head shrinks pretty fast but comes back quickly when twirling the glass, there seems to be plenty of carbonation in here.
S: Fresh, both malty and hoppy tones all over the place. I find lots of similarities to lots of "fresh hop" ales i've had before.
T: The taste have the same tones as picked up from smelling it. The malty tones wins this battle against the hops, although the battle is well combined and very pleasant. The taste does not stay that long so you might want to take another zip pretty fast.
M: Nice, and plenty of carbonation in here doing a great job. The malty tones together with the hops gives a dry finish making you wanna have another zip.
O: A nice and very pleasant alt-bier with good carbonation, plenty of malt and hops battling making you want more, this combined with a low ABV makes great drinkability!

A: The colour is copper and the liquid is crystal clear. The warm white coloured head is two fingers high. It leaves small lacings on the glass before it almost disappears completely.
S: Smells hay and dark malts. Dark bread and biscuits. Not that hoppy. A lot of earthy tones, like wet soil or similar.
T: A bit peppery, maybe from the hops? Also, earthy tones and dark bread. Some syrup and grassy tones together with the same wet soil found in the smell.
M: I find fairly large carbonation bubbles. Rather low carbonation but surprisingly sticky.

The colour is dark gold (17 ECU), the liquid is clear. The uneven high head is beige and compact; it sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The smell is earthy and hoppy with lots of hay and some brown malt. Lots of biscuits and dark bread. It is like a Kölsch, only stronger.
The taste is woody-earthy with some dry German yeasty flavours. Mild clean bitter flavours and distinct notes of hay and… autumn forest. Medium body. The aftertaste is wood-like with brown malt flavours of brown bread and biscuits. Some mild flowery-bitter hops.
The carbonation is mild; the medium sized bubbles are smooth. The liquid is semi-smooth and a little sticky.
An Altbier with lots of wood-like flavours. Not as deep or bitter as the best ones from Düsseldorf.
