Appearance: Light brown/amber, with a patchy, clingy lace.
Smell: Caramel, with a hop profile that was oily (goldings?) and had a boozy finish. In a blind taste, I would have pinned this one down as a Barleywine!
Taste: Interesting caramel malt profile, with a decent British-inspired hop bitterness and a surprising amount of alcoholic punch in the end. I'd send this baby back to the lab, because it sure didn't feel like 5.5%!
