This beer poured flat and lifeless with just a tiny oil slick of a head. I’m sensing a bad bottle here....My previous tick was for 4 stars, but this one is no where near close. No carbonation. Aroma is dried fruit and molasses. Taste is wood, prunes and brown sugar. Need to find another one....

Pours a clouded brown hued orange. Nose is that apple tone again. What is that? Are French brewers all using the same yeast strain? There are also hints of thicker caramel. Flavor is apple and caramel tones as well. Barely roasted thing also. Feel is a bit thicker on liquid. Carbonation is lower. Easy to drink. A bit wacky on the balance of flavor, but it's okay I guess.

A surprisingly drinkable beer. I ran across this beer when in Northern France. I asked to see the beer menu, expecting to see some winning European beers, and saw that they served only local brews such as Abbaye de Premontres (correctly spelled Abbaye des Prémontrés). Very light in color but with surprising character and flavor. Very easy to drink, with very little harshness or bitterness. It can easily hold it's own against other beers from the region and deserves some attention.

Almost no head on a pale copper color body. Winy aromas wth a light caramel aspect. The taste is fruity with a very pleasing caramel flavor. Just enough sweetness to make the beer very enjoyable to drink. The hoppiness is very subtle, almost hidden. A good beer!
