Bought at galeries lafayette in paris.
A pleasant french surprise, one more along the ones i've had on this very short visit to my second home. I bought this and the "le klintz" to see if they were opposing or complementary.
Pour, a very opaque dark straw tone with a very short lived head which fizzes away at once. There's a slightly oily aspect to it. Otherwise not amazing.
The smell is rather subtle, but nonetheless complex. Tending towards a citrus scent, maybe a bit sweeter than a lime feel towards the pamplemouse or this sort of deal. Slight alcohol, but very mild. Very slight but perceivable grains.
Taste is delicious. A very full bodied wit-to-pale ale style (wouldnt peg this all the way as a BPA right off) which is a fantastic blend. It has many traits of the wits in the sense of its wheaty zestiness, but broken right down the middle by a delicious sweetness, fruity overall, but nowhere near the fashion in which a banana feel hits weizens. This is unique, and delightful. Ends with a very discrete sourb bitterness, and a very rich and carbonated body round it off fantastically.
This was an excellent surprise from uberach, i'm glad to have come across this and vow to seek it out in the future, again.

Poured from a 50cl bottle bought at La Cave a Bulles into Leffe glasses. We bought this with two others from Brasserie Uberach. This and one of the others is labelled "biologique" (organic).
Pours a cloudy, dull yellow brew. Some bubbly foam that fizzes out before long. Smells yeasty, with some citrus and grass notes.
Fizzy in the mouth, ever so slightly sweet, but with a solid light-malt foundation. More grass and yeast, reminiscent of a farm-house saison style (though the label states it is a blonde). Very light hop flavor, not much bitterness but plenty of fresh green.
Mouthfeel is overall quite good, with everything in balance but distinct at the same time. A very clean finish.
This is a refreshing, tasty beer from a small French producer. It tastes like one might think French craft brew should taste like. If you see it, check it out for sure.
