The wife is out with friends, so I'm having a random, weird beer tasting evening: first up an English brewed Witbier!
This brown 330ml bottle (5%ABV) was best before 10 Mar 2011, drank and reviewed 28 Jan 2011. Poured into my Westmalle chalice.
Good looks, pale orange, cloudy and headless after ten seconds, just like a regular Witbier.
Strong clove aroma, with a bag of mixed spices thrown in too, impressive smell.
I'm not a huge fan of this style, but this tastes and feels as good as the much loved Hoegaaarden in my eyes. It has that coriander/orangey edge to it as well, different and pleasing.
A good start to my evening, hope the Armenian Lager is as good!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
