Inspiration taken from the Christmas treat, we added lemon and orange peel, and a currant infusion into the brew. Specialty malts used to add dried fruit-type flavours. A modern interpretation of a traditional beer style, notable for its roasted and malty flavours.

On keg at the brewery tap yard.
L: Dark chestnut with one finger of persistent, off-white, cream head.
S: Lightly malty.
T: Loads of orange and currant flavour. A hint of filter coffee. Not roasty or chocolatey. Sweet and lightly dry.
F: Medium body, smooth mouthfeel and a tickle of carbonation.
O: A nicely crafted Christmas porter. The orange peel and dried vine fruit offer a festive zing to the otherwise standard malt base. A little too sweet to be sessionable, even at 4%, but an enjoyable sipper.
