A traditional style of beer from Düsseldorf. “Alt” refers to the “old” style of brewing (i.e., using top-fermenting yeast) that was common before bottom-fermenting lager brewing became popular. A malt forward dark copper / amber beer with a clean bitterness and herbal hop aroma from German noble hops. A true representation of quality German ingredients.

1L growler fresh from the brewery.
L: Clear, auburn colour with two fingers of off-white, lumpy head that collapses to a smear with arcs of lacing.
S: Very light malt, clean and with no off-notes.
T: Sweet and malty, dry and leafy.
F: Medium/light body, delicate mouthfeel, low carbonation.
O: Clean and smooth and delicate but a little lacking in flavour and character.
