An inspired blend of carefully selected barrel aged sour blond ales brewed with aged hops, wild yeasts and souring bacteria: 3 year old aged in Pinot Noir French Oak barrels, 2 year aged in Cabernet Sauvignon French Oak Bordeaux barrels, and 1 year aged in neutral oak.

From a bomber into a Perfect Pint glass, this one is a slightly hazy golden color with a small foamy white cap which quickly fades down to a solid ring fueled by a moderate amount of precipitating carbonation with some clingy lace. Nose is sharply sour like sweet tart candy and a bit of funk. Quite pleasant for style. In the mouth, it’s sour up front, cleanly balanced against some sugary sweetness that reinforced the “sweet tart candy” taste. Finishes on an even more sour note, but the sourness isn’t overwhelming, it’s more like sour lemonade. Mouthfeel is good, crisp, and quenching. Very good overall; I’m not a huge fan of sour beers but this one is tasty and quenching. Would try again.

Bottle: Poured a straw color ale with an off-white foamy head. Aroma of Brett notes with some oak and vinous notes is pleasant. Taste is also a mix of vinous notes with some light tart notes, some strong Brett notes with some oak and funky ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid Brett saison withy nice level of complexity.

Got a crowler of this from Yazoo in late 2015. This was easy to drink, dry, and lots of depth. I really enjoyed this beer. It is a cleaner sour from Yazoo, but still great qualities.
