Very big and unique beer that packs a number of punches. Sharp and tart, with an abundance of fruit esters, oak, vinegar, tannins, grape skin, bready malts, and underripe berries. Some horsey funk and sour lemon-lime notes, with a very dry finish. The tangy balsamic vinegar note is on point, but you really have to like that flavor and scent else you may find this beer overwhelming.

Absolutely incredible. The grape/raisin comes through strong.
Love the brownish red coloring. Smells very berry forward.
Great sour

-clear, brown tap to tulip with minimal visible carbonation. Moderate wood, fig, funk in nose and flavor. Minimal sweetness. Finish is dry. Good effort!

Poured into a snifter. Clear dark copper-brown color with a generous tan head. Aromas of wood, red wine, caramel, and dark fruit. The taste was complex with sweet dark malt, caramel, toffee, oak, vanilla, tart cherries, lemon, overlayed with a subtle estery/funky background. Moderately sour with a clean dry finish.
