Tis a wonderful treat to have a fresh keg of Yazoo on tap at your house, and that is indeed how I am sampling this Wassail.
Pours a dark mahogony brown with a two finger tan head.
Semi-sweet biscuit/cookie aroma with nutmeg.
Taste of dark fruity malt and sweet orange peel. Seemingly an odd pairing, but very well done. Chocolate-covered-nutmeg finish.
Nice body on this one, slightly more viscous than I was expecting.
A very nice winter ale. This keg is going quicker than I expected.

On tap at the taproom.
A - Rich dark chocolatey brown with a light brown head. Excellent retention and lacing. Looks very still with very few bubbles.
S - Rich spiced malty aroma. Lots of roasted malts with a strong smell of chocolate. Well spiced nose as well with allspice and cinnamon coming to mind. A nice earthiness backs up the dominant aromas.
T - Rather sweet initially with lots of chocolate. The spice quickly asserts itslef with cinnamon being the most noticeable. A nice piney hoppiness sneaks in late drink to provide excellent balance.
M/D - I would just barely classify it as full bodied. Very easy drinking. Light to medium carbonation.
Not usually a fan of spiced beers but this one is excellent. None of the spices are overwhelming which makes it a very well balanced brew.
