We agree, our Calla IPA bursts with lush hop notes of tangerine, creamy mint and grapefruit, finishing with a soft body. Like the flowers in Spring, it’s only here for a short time. Enjoy!

The look is deceptive, it's 100% clear (filtered) but smells and tastes like a NEIPA.

Great light ipa taste. Could definitely drink this all day on the boat or on the beach. Definitely an outside campfire/fishing day drinking kinda beer.

Springing into action with a juicy hop bomb of a beer but one of slight stature and crisp taste, Yazoo Brewing is showing why IPA doesn't have to sacrifice flavor to have a refreshing side.
Pouring a deep lemon appearance and crowned with a feathery, frothy cap, Calla leads with a juicy bouquet of fragrant herbs, citrus and grassy spice. A delicate malt base makes initial introductions in taste with the suggestive sweetness of honeysuckle, fresh bread and light cereal.
The hops soon jump out of the balance as the ale washes the middle palate with the breaming brightness of white grapefruit, slightly under ripened oranges and a pep of lemon for a full and citrusy taste. But trending crisp and dry, the late palate turns to the peppery spice of parsley, lavender and mint for a pleasantly herbal finish.
Medium light in body, the beer's off-dry character sets it apart from the creaminess of true "hazy" IPA, but carrying a refreshing, crisp and effortless mouthfeel adds a great sense of drinkability to show that you can have the best of all hoppy worlds.

12 oz can with a 7/7/2020 canning date stamp on the bottom edge.
Pours with a cloudy pale golden body that resembles canned pineapple juice.
It is topped with a somewhat fizzy white head that has good retention.
Moderately strong flavor and aroma. It smells quite dank and fruity and the flavor largely follows but with a bit less tropical fruit. Some tart notes join moderate bitterness.

Month-old can poured into a tulip. Pineapple juice coloring and body with medium-light haze and a slim, sudsy head of bright white that falls to a thin film pretty quickly and provides just a few spots of lacing. A few swirls of the glass bring back a half-finger of tight foam that drops even faster than before. Looks a little starchy but not turbid or chunky by any means.
Nose has a bright pop of dank greens, lemon/lime, grapefruit rind, mandarin orange, mint leaf, green tea, under-ripe berry, and perhaps a little stone fruit. Very grassy and herbal, just a little crackery malt. There's an interesting "zesty" or "spicy" note in the background that I can't quite figure out. Gives it an intriguing additional element.
Taste follows but is very dry. Grassy, strong lemon/lime component, biscuity malt, ruby red grapefruit juice, a little green grape, with some starchy greenery on the back end. Finishes incredibly dry and nicely pithy, with a nice touch of bitterness. This one is all about the citrus, is very juicy, but is much truer to bitter grapefruit juice than sweet orange juice. Wonderful pithy aftertaste that makes you want to take another sip quickly. Again, this one is really, really dry.
Feel is soft and silky but a little below average for the style.
Keeping in mind that this is a 6% beer (in a category that often includes 8%+ beers) and Yazoo tends to keep things pretty clean and conservative, I'm really digging this offering. Incredibly drinkable, checks the boxes I'm most interested in for a hazy IPA, and even has some unique qualities. Well played, Yazoo! This will be a regular in my fridge in the summer.

Dank, unique, and crisp. Looks thick but goes down surprisingly light. Hop forward as an IPA should be. Bitter with very little malt profile. One of my favorites.
